Attack on Odesa Region: Latest Updates
On the evening of February 28, Russian armed forces targeted the Odesa region with drones, the type and number of which are being determined. The Odesa district was hit. As a result of the attack, a man lost his life. This was reported by the prosecutor's office.
The attack resulted in the death of a 41-year-old man; three others were injured and taken to the hospital. A private house, a business, a sports facility, and both passenger and cargo vehicles were damaged.
An assessment is ongoing, and a complete list of damages and destruction is being established. Prosecutors at the scene, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the armed aggression.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding war crimes that resulted in a person's death (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation in this criminal proceeding is being conducted by the SBU in the Odesa region” – the statement reads.
