The Tragic Impact of War on Ukrainian Children

Since the onset of the full-scale war, Russian forces have killed 661 children and injured over 2200 Ukrainian children. This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko on Telegram.
‎"On the 1342nd day of war, prosecutors are investigating 5363 criminal cases related to these crimes.
During this time, the Russian Federation has: killed 661 children; injured 2203 children; destroyed or damaged over 4500 schools, kindergartens, and 1294 hospitals; abducted and deported more than 19 thousand Ukrainian children; committed at least 23 cases of sexual violence against children" - stated Kravchenko.
According to him, each case is evidence of a systematic policy of terror aimed at the destruction of Ukrainians as a nation.
The Prosecutor General noted that UN Security Council Resolution No. 1261 identifies six of the most serious crimes against children during wartime, and he informed that Russia commits all six daily in Ukraine before the eyes of the world.
‎The head of the OGP reported that prosecutors in Ukraine, together with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are investigating each crime.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals, from the executors to the leadership of the Russian Federation, are held accountable. Time will not be an obstacle. These crimes have no statute of limitations," he added.
