Celebration of Memory and Gratitude in Odesa
On October 25, in Odesa, near the Rotunda of the City Garden, a touching event took place that combined two significant occasions:
Ukrainian Language Day celebrated on October 27, and an Evening of Gratitude for the Defenders of Ukraine.
The event began with a joint prayer attended by representatives of the Council of Churches and religious organizations of the city and region.
Among the performers were: Nikole Pinchuk, Sofia Kozubenko, the Dance Ensemble 'Divchata' of the Dalnytsia Village Council, the folk ensemble 'Strings of the Heart', students of the Odesa Professional Art College named after K. F. Dankevych (director — Olena Bortnikova), the orchestra of the Military Music Center of the Naval Forces of Ukraine (conductor — Lyubomyr Sukennyk), the brotherly choir of the Odesa People's Church, Oleksandr Dyzhykov, vocal duo Artem Starushchenko and Oleksandra Vysotska, and bands 'SVITANOK' and 'Victory'.
The organizers were KP 'Parks of Odesa', the Chaplaincy Community of Odesa Region, and the Council of Churches and Religious Organizations of Odesa and the region.
Partners of the event included: Veterans HUB Odesa, NGO 'Families of Angels of Light', NGO 'BARRIER-FREE', NGO 'Legion 12', Charity Fund 'Good Samaritan', Charity Fund 'Reformation', Charity Fund 'Grow in Family', NGO 'Live Life', NGO 'Mother's Hands', DNP 'Center for Mother and Child', NGO 'Community Pulse', and the All-Ukrainian Union of Defenders.
