Tragic Loss of Ukrainian Family in Israel

A family from Ukraine, who came to Israel for treatment of seven-year-old Anastasia Burik from leukemia, was killed by an Iranian missile strike on a residential building.

The tragedy occurred on Saturday, June 14.

 Iran killed seven-year-old Anastasia Burik, her mother, and two other children in Bat Yam when a missile struck their home. In total, four people died in this attack, and one person is missing. Anastasia was undergoing treatment for cancer and was awaiting a bone marrow transplant, - stated Andriy Yermak.

What is known about the deaths of the Ukrainian family from the Iranian missile

The family from Odesa arrived in Israel in December 2022 after a fundraising effort worldwide for seven-year-old Anastasia's treatment.

After a partial remission, cancer returned despite chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

It is known that during their treatment, they were staying in a house in Israel that was hit by an Iranian ballistic missile.

The girl's father, Artem Burik, serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He remained in Ukraine, continuing to raise funds for his daughter's treatment.

The deceased grandmother, mother, Anastasia, and two boys were together at the time of the Iranian missile strike.
