Adjustments to Minimum Wage and Living Standards for 2026

The state budget for 2026 includes provisions for an increase in the minimum wage and living wage.

This is the first adjustment since 2024, and both figures have seen a rise, as there were no revisions in 2025:

  • minimum wage increased from 8000 UAH to 8647 UAH (an 8% increase);
  • overall living wage from 2920 UAH to 3209 UAH (+9.9%);
  • living wage for working-age individuals from 3028 UAH to 3328 UAH (+9.9%);
  • living wage for persons with disabilities from 2361 UAH to 2595 UAH (+9.9%).

The last figure sets the minimum pension amount, which will be 25.95 thousand UAH in 2026.

As a reminder, as of July 1, the average pension in Ukraine was 6,410.2 UAH. Compared to April 1, it increased by 1.1% (+69 UAH) and was 10.2% (+593.6 UAH) higher than in the same period last year. In 2025, the government did not raise social standards due to significant budget expenditures, with no funds found for this purpose, as reported by the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
