Ukrainian Boxing Tournament Celebrates Young Talent
From October 20 to 25, Odesa hosted a nationwide boxing tournament for youth and women, commemorating the renowned sports master Semen Trestin.
Over a hundred young boxers from across Ukraine participated in the event, which marked a return after a six-year hiatus.
Arthur Prodan, a student of the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 8, competed in the 70 kg category, winning all three matches and securing first place. This achievement grants him the title of «Master of Sports of Ukraine».
Ivan Karpov, another athlete from the same school, earned a bronze medal in the 60 kg category, achieving the standard for candidate master of sports.
The athletes were trained by coaches Volodymyr Osipchuk, Dmytro Boboshko, and Ihor Hordiienko.
