Enhanced Monitoring of Freight Carriers in Southern Ukraine

Strengthened measures for monitoring freight carriers in southern Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrtransbezpeka on Facebook.

Due to the rising risk of road accidents and the harvest season, Ukrtransbezpeka has initiated enhanced actions to identify violations in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

Additional inspectors from other regions of Ukraine have been deployed to the area for this purpose.

«The full-scale invasion has reshaped the country's logistics routes. Currently, all logistics to the ports pass through the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Therefore, our task is to preserve the roads and significantly save on their repairs. I urge carriers to comply with weight and dimension standards to avoid hefty fines,» emphasized the Head of Ukrtransbezpeka, Nikita Lagunin.

During the enhanced measures, monitoring is conducted around the clock at certain sections of the roads in the regions. Inspectors pay special attention to compliance with weight norms and the work and rest regimes of drivers.

Control measures are implemented in coordination with the Odesa and Mykolaiv regional state administrations and with the support of Ukrzaliznytsia.
