New Electronic Warfare System by TAF Industries
The Ukrainian company TAF Industries has launched an innovative electronic warfare system called "Quasar-A" aimed at safeguarding armored vehicles and cars. The manufacturer revealed the capabilities of this system in their recent post.
TAF Industries describes the system as an effective countermeasure against kamikaze drones and multirotor UAVs. Key features of the "Quasar-A" include:
- 360° coverage with a range of up to 300 meters;
- Jamming of control and video transmission channels;
- 5 channels with 100 Watts of power each;
- Choice of frequency ranges.
The "Quasar-A" creates a field of active interference, blocking control and video signals. The antennas have magnetic mounts and can be deployed in just 5 minutes. It operates under rain, in dust, and in freezing temperatures. With an IP66 protection rating, it can function autonomously for up to 2 hours. "Quasar-A" holds the defense line, protecting the crew and saving lives," states TAF Industries in their video.
Additionally, in September, TAF Industries announced the codification of the FPV drone Kolibri 13-O, featuring a fiber-optic communication channel. This drone is an enhanced version of the standard Kolibri model, specifically designed for operations in conditions of dense electronic warfare. The manufacturer indicates that the new model possesses features that make the UAV a "cheat code" on the front lines.
