Train Schedule Changes Due to Stormy Weather

Stormy weather conditions in the Transcarpathian region, as well as in neighboring Slovakia and Hungary, have caused significant changes to the schedules of international and domestic passenger trains. Some services have been delayed, and passengers arriving from abroad are being transported to Ukraine by replacement buses.

This was confirmed by Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company reported that due to the bad weather, the railway companies of Hungary and Slovakia have been forced to delay the following services:

  • №143/750 from Vienna and Budapest;
  • №617/964 from Bratislava.

Passengers from Debrecen (Hungary) and Košice (Slovakia) will be taken to the border by replacement buses. Then, train No. 28 of Ukrzaliznytsia will pick them up in Chop. The delay times and further departures will be determined after the buses arrive and in coordination with dispatchers from all three countries. The company warns of potential further changes depending on the situation, primarily in Hungary.

Additionally, the storm has damaged the contact network near Barkasovo and Skole. As a result, delays are expected for the following services:

  • №9 Kyiv – Budapest;
  • №82 Chop – Kyiv;
  • №14 Solotvyno – Kyiv;
  • №38 Mukachevo – Odesa;
  • №749 Kyiv – Chop (with direct carriages to Vienna).

"We traditionally collect all schedule deviations on the uz-vezemo portal. We apologize for any inconveniences and assure you that we will ensure safe transport for everyone," emphasizes the company's press service.
