Vandalism Issues at Public Transport Stops
The Municipal Enterprise «City Roads» manages 884 public transport stops, with 605 featuring shelters. The enterprise is responsible for maintaining the areas around these stops, including cleaning, repairing bins, benches, and shelters, as well as washing and painting them.
Regrettably, the issue of vandalism persists. Since the beginning of the year, 9 incidents of vandalism have been reported.
Daily, unidentified individuals leave graffiti, break benches, and remove bins along with their concrete bases, and shatter the glass walls of the stops. Additionally, public transport stops often suffer damage due to road accidents.
The Odessa City Council once again urges residents and visitors to treat the city's property with care. Willful destruction and damage to municipal property carries legal consequences.
