Attack on Medical Transport: A Tragedy in Odesa
A horrific incident occurred in Odesa where unknown individuals set fire to the evacuation vehicle of military medic Natalia Tarasova, who was waiting for a transfer. Along with the vehicle, all her medical equipment, uniform, and personal belongings were destroyed, resulting in damages estimated at 750,000 UAH.
The tragic event was reported by volunteer and head of the charity fund "Monster Corporation" Kateryna Nozhevnikova. According to her, the incident happened two days ago while Natalia was temporarily in Odesa.
The arson not only destroyed the vehicle but also all the essential equipment needed for the medic's work on the front lines. The fire obliterated medical supplies, tactical gear, Natalia's uniform, Starlink, chargers, and other equipment.
"Last night, her medical evacuation vehicle was burned. Along with the medical equipment, tactical gear, Natalia's uniform, Starlink, chargers, and so on. Everything that constituted Natalia's 'life' was lost," wrote Kateryna Nozhevnikova.
Natalia noted that the vehicle was valuable even without considering the destroyed equipment, and the total damages from the vehicle's destruction amount to 750,000 UAH. The situation is further complicated by the fact that her son is currently at the front, and she has lost all means to carry out her mission of rescuing wounded soldiers.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances of the arson and identify those responsible. Volunteer organizations have already begun fundraising to restore the medic's evacuation transport.
