Revitalizing Lives Through Diving: Rehabilitation for the Disabled in Odessa
The "Diesel Show" team has joined the efforts to rehabilitate individuals with disabilities in Odessa.
Diving represents a significant step forward in the recovery process for these individuals.
Underwater, individuals experience a sense of weightlessness, which is especially beneficial for those who have undergone amputations. Water alleviates the strain on joints and muscles, allowing for both relaxation and exercise. Every movement in the water becomes smoother and more controlled, aiding in the restoration of coordination.
"By utilizing available resources such as the sea and fresh air, along with professional guidance, we have managed to create optimal conditions for open-water diving training. During one of the dives, the "Diesel Show" team joined us, assisting our veterans in confidently interacting with the instructors," stated Vasyl Rybak, head of the rehabilitation service at the City Health Department.
Additionally, the show's performers attended adaptive billiards training sessions.
