A New Beginning in Odesa: City Day's First Baby
This year, Odesa welcomed its first baby on City Day - a little girl named Ksenia.
Ksenia entered the world at 00:01 on September 2 at the municipal maternity hospital No. 5.
The newborn weighs 3 kilograms and 500 grams and measures 52 cm in height. She is the second child in her family. Both mother and daughter are doing well.
There is a lovely tradition in Odesa of bringing gifts to the maternity hospital where the first baby of City Day is born.
Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, congratulated Ksenia and all the new parents celebrating on the city's birthday.
“Congratulations to all newborns and families who welcomed their children on our city's special day. May the children grow up healthy and happy in free Ukraine,” - stated Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
On September 2, a total of 19 babies were born in Odesa - 12 girls and 7 boys.
