Christmas Choir Festival Launch
On December 20, 2024, the Odessa Literary Museum hosted the grand opening of the V Christmas Choir Festival 'The Fire of Christmas', organized by the T. I. Boieva Art School No. 15 in Odessa.
The Director of the Department of Culture of the Odessa City Council, Ivan Liptuga, greeted all participants with Christmas wishes, encouraging them to continue celebrating Odessa with their talents.
Choirs from art schools in Odessa and various musical institutions of the Odessa region presented Christmas musical pieces, providing the audience with unforgettable experiences.
The festival also included a scientific conference 'Christmas Songs in Contemporary Choral Music'.
During the conference, discussions focused on the development of Ukrainian folk singing and innovations in working with choirs within Ukraine's music education system.
The second day of the festival, December 23, 2024, will be dedicated to remote performances by various groups. This year, choirs from several large and small cities in Ukraine—Odessa, Chornomorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Strizhavka—are participating, along with teams from Norway and Moldova.
