Injuries from Explosive Hazards in Ukraine
Since the onset of the full-scale invasion by Russia, 1,330 people have been affected by mines and explosive remnants in Ukraine, including 135 children. This was reported by the Main Directorate for Mine Action on their Facebook page.
As of October 1, 2025, it has been recorded that 1,330 individuals have suffered due to hostile mines, comprising 135 children and 1,195 adults.
The most affected groups include: 243 farmers, 137 critical infrastructure workers, and 88 drivers. Other affected individuals comprise 121 students, 148 unemployed persons, and 116 pensioners.
The Directorate noted that data collection is conducted systematically in accordance with international protocols to ensure safety.
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are opening criminal cases regarding violations of the rules and customs of warfare by Russia for each incident of detonation among the civilian population on Ukrainian territories.
An interactive map and database assist government and humanitarian organizations in informing the population about risks associated with explosive devices and providing aid to those injured.
