New Attacks on Ukraine: Casualties and Destruction
Last night, Ukraine endured another combined assault from Russia – over 50 missiles and around 500 strike drones. They struck with cruise missiles, 'Shaheds', and 'Dagger' missiles. Regions such as Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kirovohrad were hit.
As of now, approximately 10 individuals have been reported injured. Unfortunately, five people have died. Our heartfelt condolences go to all who have lost loved ones due to this terror.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his address.
According to him, rescue and recovery operations are ongoing in the affected areas. The head of state continuously receives reports from Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba, heads of regional military administrations, and the chairman of Naftogaz, Serhii Koretsky.
«I expect the government to act swiftly and effectively to mitigate the consequences in the affected regions», — noted Zelensky.
The President emphasized that today the Russians targeted Ukrainian infrastructure, aiming at everything that ensures normal life for people.
«We need more protection, quicker implementation of all defense agreements, especially concerning air defense, to negate this aerial terror. A unilateral ceasefire in the skies is possible, and it could pave the way for genuine diplomacy. America and Europe must act to make Putin stop», — stressed Volodymyr Zelensky.
