Golf Ambassador's Visit to Odessa
Last week, Mr. Ozgur Tonguc Chukhali, the ambassador of the Odessa golf club in Turkey, visited Odessa. He previously lived in our city for many years, actively representing the Association of Ukrainian and Turkish Entrepreneurs and participating in the restoration of the Odessa Specialized Psychoneurological Children's Home "Sonечко".
During his visit, Mr. Chukhali toured the "Sonечко" home, where he engaged with children and medical staff, and also visited Library No. 21, where he participated in a golf workshop.
Hanna Lunova, acting head of the maternal and child health sector of the Department of Health, noted that Mr. Chukhali assured that continued collaboration and sponsorship from the sister city of Istanbul would be maintained.
On February 17, the Odessa golf club held a workshop for students of Lyceum No. 81 at Library Branch No. 21, featuring Mr. Chukhali. The children learned golf techniques, scored their first balls, and received prizes.
Additionally, the ambassador shared insights about the activities of golf clubs in Turkey and opportunities for children in schools and libraries.
As part of the visit, collaboration between Bodrum and Odessa was proposed to promote Olympic sports, particularly golf.
