Odesa Presents Its Experience at the “Path to Resilience” Conferen

Ukraine is currently observing a week of barrier-free access. On May 20th, a nationwide conference titled «Path to Inclusion» took place in Kyiv.

The event brought together government officials, UNDP representatives, local authorities, and community activists.

Representing Odesa at the conference were the mayor's advisor on accessibility, Oleksiy Morozov, and the Secretary of the Accessibility Council, Oleksandr Zhiltsov, as appointed by Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

During a panel discussion focused on creating accessible communities, participants shared practical examples, tools, and challenges faced by Ukrainian cities.

The discussion was moderated by Tetiana Lomakina, the President's Advisor on Accessibility.

«Accessibility is about people and for people. We are pleased that Odesa's experience is drawing interest. We share what we have achieved and get inspired by new ideas,» said Oleksiy Morozov.

«We have a clear understanding of how this works, as Odesa is already establishing a system based on dialogue, collaboration, and tangible changes that people can see,» added Oleksandr Zhiltsov.

Odesa's experience in inclusion is becoming a part of the national dialogue on sustainable community development, confirming the city's commitment to accessibility and engagement.
