Impressive Summer Universiade in Germany: Highlights and Reactions
The World Summer Universiade in Germany has come to a spectacular close, culminating in an unforgettable closing ceremony.

On the final day of competitions, the Ukrainian team secured another medal — a bronze, won by Mykola Rushak from Sumy in the 20-kilometer race walk.
Ukraine finished 14th in the overall medal standings, achieving a total of 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Mykola Rushak shared his thoughts: "This is my highest international medal, and it's my first. I was just two seconds away from second place."
Victoria Baranivska, who competed in the triple jump final, commented: "The atmosphere here is incredible, the arena and organization are top-notch. Every day, I find myself falling more in love with these competitions."
Danilo Binder celebrated his international debut in rowing at the Universiade: "This was my first race at an international level, so I will try to prepare better for the next competition."
Over two weeks, student-athletes from 55 countries competed for the Universiade 2025 medals. The top three teams were Japan, China, and the USA.
