Young Ice Skaters from Odesa Shine at International Competition
Young athletes from Odesa have become shining stars in the world of ice skating!
The dance duo of Tetiana Belodonova and Ivan Kachur, representing the SDYUSHOR 'Kryzhynka', impressed everyone at the first stage of the international junior Grand Prix competition held in Riga, Latvia.
Under the guidance of coach Alona Kalamurza, the pair executed their program brilliantly. Judges rated their elements, including twizzles, lifts, and spins, at the 4th level of difficulty. Their vibrant performance and charisma captivated both judges and the audience.
In the free dance, Tetiana and Ivan scored 75.48 points, securing 6th place.
Overall, with the results of their two performances, they placed 8th with a total score of 126.51 points.
This was a debut for 14-year-old Tetiana and 18-year-old Ivan at the junior Grand Prix, and the results are truly impressive!
From August 27 to 30, the duo will represent Ukraine at the second stage of the competition in Turkey's capital, Ankara.
