Tragedy in Odessa: Drone Attacks Cause Damage

Odessa has once again been targeted by enemy drones. The residential infrastructure has suffered considerable damage.

According to reports from the State Emergency Service of the Odessa region, the impact caused a fire on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of a 21-story residential building. Residents were trapped in their apartments due to heavy smoke and high temperatures, making it difficult for rescuers to reach them. Firefighters worked simultaneously to rescue individuals and extinguish the fire.
They managed to save 5 people, including 1 young child.
Preliminary reports indicate that 2 individuals have died.
Details about the injured are being clarified, with four known as of this morning.
Psychologists are on-site to provide support.
The efforts to mitigate the aftermath were hampered by repeated air alerts.

The Mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, along with all relevant services, arrived promptly at the scene of the tragedy.

Emergency and utility services are working diligently to address the aftermath.
Medical assistance is being provided to the victims.
Psychological support is also being offered to residents of the affected building.

Starting in the morning, the city operational headquarters will begin functioning, where residents of damaged buildings can receive guidance on obtaining assistance.
