Ukrainian Athletes Shine at the Muay Thai World Championship
The Muay Thai World Championship has concluded in Turkey, featuring competitions in the Wai Kru and Muan Muay categories.
From Ukraine, Irina Ladynenko made it to the finals, representing the Odessa Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 7.
Irina performed exceptionally well, surpassing all her competitors and securing first place, earning a license for the upcoming European Games.
Additionally, she won a bronze medal in the S Female Wai Kru category.
A bronze medal at the 2025 World Championship was also claimed by Valeriy Denisov, a student from the Odessa Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 16 (Wai Kru category, youth). He was trained by coach Pavlo Yevtushenko.
In the team standings, the Ukrainian national team finished in second place, winning 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
