New Mobile Energy Source for the City

The TMO has been enhanced with a mobile emergency power source, featuring a diesel generator, solar power system, and batteries.

The solar panels deliver a capacity of 7.5 kW, the generator provides 32 kW, while the battery capacity stands at 60 kW. The load capacity that can be connected is up to 25 kW.

In the event of a power outage or network damage, this mobile unit can promptly supply electricity to critical facilities.

The city expresses gratitude to the initiative «Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine», implemented by GIZ Ukraine on behalf of the German government, for enhancing the resilience of the Odessa community in crisis situations.

Activities conducted under the project «Strengthening the Resilience of Cities in the Urban Community Essential Services in Ukraine» (SUR) are part of the German transitional assistance provided on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and executed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
