On November 27, 2024, Odesa Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman met with the head of the UNICEF Regional Office in Ukraine, Ms. Audrey Lecomte.

During the meeting, the initiative «Families for Development: New Approaches to Child Care in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions» was presented, implemented in partnership with the Odesa City Council.

The project aims to promote family-oriented care and create conditions that allow children to remain with their families.

Special attention is given to integrated services that will provide support not only to children but also to their families in challenging life circumstances.

«We are grateful to our UNICEF partners for this important initiative that opens new opportunities for family support in our region. Together, we strive to ensure that every child has the right to grow up in a loving family,» noted Pavlo Vugelman.

During the meeting, the establishment of a working group to coordinate the project's implementation was discussed.

The initiative is set to be a significant step toward strengthening family resilience and ensuring children's well-being in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
