UN Delegation Visits Odessa
A delegation from the UN, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is visiting Odessa.
This visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, involves five UN ambassadors and other distinguished guests.
During their working visit, the delegation toured various projects supported by the UN in the city.
The mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, expressed gratitude for the assistance, particularly in the reconstruction of one of the wards at hospital No. 8.
Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that while the facility is not an emergency care hospital, it has saved many lives, bringing in victims from hostile attacks who required urgent medical attention, thanks to the highly skilled staff and modern equipment available.
The participants also discussed further cooperation opportunities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as sewage and drainage system upgrades and housing construction for internally displaced persons.
