Accessing Free Rehabilitation Services in Ukraine
Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, the number of individuals requiring rehabilitation has been on the rise. Rehabilitation is essential following surgeries, injuries, or prolonged illnesses. The National Health Service of Ukraine emphasizes that everyone is entitled to free outpatient rehabilitation services, regardless of their residence.
The medical guarantee program includes free rehabilitation under the package "Rehabilitation Services for Adults and Children in Outpatient Settings." Internally displaced persons may choose any facility in Kyiv contracted with the NHSU. An electronic referral from a family or treating doctor is necessary before visiting.
