Deputy Minister Visits Odesa for Inclusivity Review
Today, June 3rd, Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Prykhodko arrived in Odesa for a working visit.
The purpose of the visit is to review the city's inclusive locations and prepare for the wellness season.
During the visit, Ministry representatives were presented with the work of the Barrier-Free Council in Odesa. This included discussions on creating an inclusive route 'North-South' as part of the National Project 'Movement Without Barriers', which is being implemented in 15 cities across Ukraine under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The Deputy Minister praised the efforts to create a barrier-free environment being conducted in Odesa in cooperation with veterans and individuals with disabilities. Special emphasis was placed on the new inclusive sports ground at 'Dolphin', where equipment is adapted for persons with disabilities.
Ruslan Prykhodko also met with Odesa's adaptive athletes who participate in various international competitions.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister expressed a desire to meet with Odesa's veterans during upcoming meetings of the Barrier-Free Council.
