Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the Security Service of Ukraine extended their greetings to media professionals, acknowledging their bravery and crucial role during wartime, while also honoring the memory of those who have lost their lives.
President Zelensky's Address
In his message, the president expressed gratitude to journalists and all media workers for their contribution to enlightening society.
“The world knows about our struggle. Your work is vital for defending our independence,” – emphasized Zelensky.
He noted that the professionalism and courage of journalists are essential for national unity and defense.
“Happy Journalist Day to you all. Remember those who have fallen in this war. Glory to Ukraine!” – stated the president.
Commander-in-Chief's Greetings
General Oleksandr Syrskyi also expressed his appreciation for journalists' work.
“You convey the truth about our people’s bravery and support the national spirit,” – he pointed out.
He emphasized that journalists' efforts are invaluable for the military and society.
“We remember those who sacrificed their lives fulfilling their duties. Their bravery will remain in our hearts,” – added the general.
Greetings from the Security Service of Ukraine
The Security Service of Ukraine highlighted the dangerous conditions under which journalists work: “You are the eyes of the world, documenting the realities of war.”
“Your materials help understand the true cost of freedom,” – noted the SBU.
