Collaboration Between Cities for Veteran Support
The municipal organization «Veteran Hub» in Odesa and the veteran support center in Mykolaiv have signed a cooperation agreement.
Now veterans from Mykolaiv will be able to access services in Odesa, while Odesa residents can seek support in Mykolaiv. The joint efforts will enhance veterans' adaptation, broaden the range of services, and allow for the exchange of successful practices.
«This is a wonderful example of partnership and a willingness to learn from each other,» noted the head of the «Veteran Hub», Volodymyr Yermakov.
In turn, the first deputy mayor of Mykolaiv, Vitaliy Lukov, emphasized, «This is not just a formalization of friendly relations, but concrete steps to improve the quality of veteran services.»
It is important to note that the agreement was made at the beginning of this month when a Mykolaiv delegation visited Odesa.
The «Veteran Hub» operates in the following areas:
- legal support;
- psychological assistance;
- employment assistance and grant management;
- rehabilitation and treatment support;
- information on existing programs, services, and benefits;
- organization of leisure, sporting, and cultural events;
- conducting trainings, round tables, and conferences.
