Charity motorcycle rally

The 2025 motorcycle season has officially begun in Odessa with a charity event — a motorcycle ride. Participants set off from Kyiv to Odessa, gathering at the monument to Duke de Richelieu, reports a correspondent from Suspilne.

According to participant Volodymyr Musiak, the ride aims to support the veteran movement and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Around 60 motorcyclists are taking part, but new riders are joining them along the route.

"Currently, there are 60 bikes on the road, with more joining us as we go. We don’t know how many will ultimately participate," said Volodymyr.

Veteran Volodymyr Musiak, who has been fighting since 2014, highlighted that the event serves both social and charitable purposes. He noted that this is the first ride of its kind aimed at uniting Kyiv and Odessa.

"We are also collecting funds. Yesterday in Kyiv, auctions and charity events were held. We do this every year. We even have a charity fund. With its help, we purchase necessary supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Volodymyr added.

A unique aspect of the veteran motorcycle club is the presence of members with disabilities due to combat actions.

"We have a brother in our club who lost a leg. He has adapted his bike for himself. Many guys who have similar challenges also ride," Volodymyr Musiak shared.

In Odessa, bikers will enjoy the official opening of the 2025 motorcycle season, meet with brother clubs, and partake in a musical program. After the Odessa portion of the event, participants will head back to Kyiv, completing the Kyiv-Odessa-Kyiv route.

The charity ride was organized by the community "Bikers of Ukraine" and the motorcycle club Veterans MC Ukraine, with informational support from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
