International Delegation Visits Odessa
An international delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is currently visiting Odessa.
The visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, includes five UN ambassadors and other distinguished guests, focusing on cooperation with UNOPS and UNFPA.
During their working visit, the delegation toured facilities supported by the UN.
The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odessa, particularly regarding the reconstruction of one of the departments of hospital No. 8.
Gennady Trukhanov noted that while the facility is not an emergency hospital, it has saved numerous lives by treating victims from hostile attacks who required urgent medical care. Such assistance was made possible by the highly qualified staff working in excellent conditions and with new equipment.
The meeting participants also discussed future collaboration, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage and drainage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
