Security Challenges in the Black Sea Region

A constructive dialogue was held, during which I informed diplomats about the security and humanitarian conditions in the Odesa region. We discussed the functioning of ports, the grain corridor, shelling incidents, energy stability, and cultural life.

In response to foreign colleagues' inquiries, I emphasized that Odesa is a multinational region, home to over 130 nationalities. However, today we stand united in our common struggle for independence and territorial integrity. Regardless of our nationalities and faiths, we are all Ukrainians working every day, even under fire, for our victory and the future of our children.

Ms. Delphine Pronk highlighted that the entire world is impressed by the resilience of our people, and thus support from EU partners will continue so that Ukraine can withstand and become a full member of the EU and NATO.

We stressed the importance of ongoing support from international partners and the need for additional air defense resources to ensure the security of the Black Sea region.

Together to victory!
