Changes to Visa-Free Regime for Ukrainians in Georgia
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has proposed amendments to the government decree that reduce the duration of visa-free stay for Ukrainians in the country.

Details: On April 3, it was revealed that the duration of visa-free stay for Ukrainian citizens in Georgia is shortened from three years to one.
"Ukrainian citizens have the right to enter Georgia without a visa and stay in the country for one full year", – the document states.
Ukrainians who entered Georgia before February 24, 2025, will have their stay extended until February 24, 2026.
Background: In February 2023, the Georgian authorities allowed Ukrainians to stay in the country without a visa for two years, and in April 2024, the term was extended to three years.
