Rescue at Sea: A Heroic Act by Border Guards

On March 27, during a patrol of the state border, a crew from the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service discovered an empty inflatable boat at sea. Upon closer inspection, they saw a man clinging to the side of the vessel, struggling to get out of the water. This was reported by the Maritime Guard of Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service.

Due to the cold water temperature, the victim was rapidly losing strength. The sailors immediately pulled him aboard, provided necessary assistance, and warmed him up with hot tea. It turned out that the man had fallen into the water due to his own negligence. The boat was towed back to shore.

"The rescued individual's condition is satisfactory, and he did not require medical assistance" - stated in the report.
