Murder During a Gathering: Incident Details
A tragedy unfolded after a joyous gathering when a conflict erupted between acquaintances.

The event occurred in June of the previous year. Investigators found that a 39-year-old man had a quarrel with a 30-year-old friend at his home after a shared celebration. During the argument, the guest grabbed a knife and stabbed the host in the back.
Realizing what he had done, the perpetrator called the police and an ambulance. Upon arrival, the medics confirmed the death of the man. The forensic examination concluded that the cause of death was acute blood loss due to a stab wound.
The suspect was detained during the procedural investigation. The court subsequently imposed a preventive measure of detention.
During the pre-trial investigation, supervised by the prosecutor's office, police gathered sufficient evidence of the suspect's illegal actions and charged him with murder, that is, the intentional infliction of death on another person.
The indictment under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was sent to court. At the hearing, the accused admitted his guilt, blaming alcohol. After reviewing the received materials and considering the defendant's sincere remorse, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to eight years of imprisonment.
