This was reported by the police.
Patrol officers stopped a «KIA Sorento» vehicle driven by a 51-year-old man. Inside the car were six men aged between 25 and 30 from various regions of Ukraine.
Investigators who arrived at the scene determined that the driver was organizing illegal transportation of conscripts to Transnistria for significant payment. His services ranged from five to eight thousand dollars depending on the clients' financial capabilities. He acted in collusion with an unidentified individual who helped him find clients.
The police confiscated the vehicle and detained the driver, while the passengers were sent for verification at the military enlistment office.
After gathering sufficient evidence, investigators charged him under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – organizing illegal transportation of persons across the state border. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to nine years with a ban on holding certain positions.
The court imposed a preventive measure of detention with the possibility of bail set at 240,000 hryvnias.
