Knife Attack: Dispute Between Acquaintances Ends in Violence

A man stabbed his acquaintance twice in the abdomen and chest. He faces up to eight years in prison for his actions.

This was reported by police authorities.

The incident occurred last week in the evening on 7th Peresyp Street in Odessa, where the two men had a chance encounter. A drunk 42-year-old local began harassing his 27-year-old acquaintance, accusing him of not returning money for a power bank he had purchased. During the resulting conflict, the older man stabbed the younger one and fled the scene.

Passersby called an ambulance for the victim. Medical staff hospitalized the patient and notified the police. The man is currently in the hospital suffering from stab wounds to the abdominal wall and chest, which penetrated the pleural cavity.

The victim was in critical condition and could not identify his assailant. However, the police quickly located the criminal using a service dog, which picked up the scent and led them to him.
