New Inclusive Beach Opens in Odesa: Accessibility for Everyone

A new inclusive beach has been inaugurated at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa, fully compliant with international standards of accessibility, safety, and environmental sustainability.

The official opening of the renovated municipal beach took place on July 1, and it has received the «AES Standard» certification, confirming its adherence to international quality and safety criteria.

This reconstructed beach serves as a model of inclusive infrastructure, achieved through the collaborative efforts of the city authorities, expert groups, and builders, ensuring the project's swift execution.

The inclusive beach is equipped with special ramps, modern restrooms, and shower facilities designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, along with a medical point and shelter. Following the renovation, the beach boasts convenient routes and accessible infrastructure elements, verified by experts.

The opening ceremony was attended by military veterans, individuals with disabilities, families with children, and elderly people.

Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov noted, «This beach has been created with care and concern for everyone. We will continue to work systematically on improving accessibility and developing rehabilitation services, especially along the Odesa coastline».

Recently, an inclusive multi-sport playground was also opened at the «Dolphin» beach.
