Updated Heating Season Dates in Ukraine
The Ukrainian government has revised the dates for the heating season, now set to run from November 1 to March 31. This decision was published on the official government website.
According to the amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated July 19, 2022, No. 812 «On Approval of the Regulation on the Imposition of Special Obligations on Natural Gas Market Participants to Ensure Public Interests in the Natural Gas Market Functioning Regarding the Specifics of Natural Gas Supply to Heat Energy Producers and Budget Institutions», the heating season in 2025-2026 will officially last from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
Previously, the heating season in Ukraine began on October 15 and lasted until April 15. Local self-government bodies could make decisions regarding its postponement or early conclusion based on weather conditions, but the state guaranteed stable gas supplies during this period.
