Inclusive Initiatives in Odesa: New Opportunities for All
Odessa is engaged in a systematic effort to create a barrier-free environment and expand inclusive opportunities for all its residents.
The city plans to enhance the «Otrada» beach to facilitate rehabilitation and active leisure for veterans, children with disabilities, and other mobility-impaired groups.
Furthermore, a base for adaptive rowing sports is expected to be developed at the beach.
During an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council on August 27, deputies supported the necessary amendments to the «Barrier-Free Odesa» City Program, increasing its funding by 1 million hryvnias.
The total funding for the program for 2025 will be 189.5 million UAH.
