New Accessibility Initiative in Odesa
Recently, a new initiative for marking accessible routes has begun in Odesa. The first information signs have appeared in key areas that pass through zones with high pedestrian traffic, social infrastructure, medical and educational institutions.
The work on the project “Barrier-Free Route” is ongoing.
Today marks the start of a new phase of marking: ambassadors from the “Barrier-Free Movement” have placed special signs at public transport stops, in residential courtyards, and near important social facilities. These signs serve as guides for people with limited mobility.
The initiative is being implemented in Odesa with the support of the mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov. Coordination is provided by the Barrier-Free Council, which includes specialists, veterans, and representatives of public organizations.
