Warning: New Scam Schemes Targeting PrivatBank Cardholders

Current Threats for Cardholders

Clients of PrivatBank are receiving phone calls from individuals posing as bank security representatives. They claim that suspicious transactions have been detected from the client’s card to a hostile country.

Scammers urge clients to cancel these transactions and pressure them to comply with demands, including recording a voice message and "verifying" card details.

To appear credible, they provide a "personal number" that they claim can be found on PrivatBank's website.

These tactics aim to acquire clients' personal information for further exploitation. Bank employees will never ask for your PIN, card number, or CVV code.

Citizens are advised not to disclose personal information and to refrain from conducting financial transactions during communications with unknown individuals.

If you receive a call from scammers, immediately contact the bank's call center and report them. If you fall victim to fraud, reach out to cyber police or other competent authorities.
