International Cooperation: New Horizons for Students from Odessa
Municipal educational institutions in Odessa are actively engaged in international projects with educational establishments from EU countries, including Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Latvia, and others.
From October 6 to 11, 13 students from Odessa Lyceum No. 9 visited the youth camp «Krzyżów» in Poland. This visit was part of a Polish-German-Ukrainian school exchange involving youth from the cities of Leżajsk (Poland), Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Odessa (Ukraine).
During their stay at the camp, participants engaged in activities focused on intercultural communication, history, and tolerance. Talented and creative youth collaborated on various project tasks, including integration-language introductions, language evenings-presentations, excursions around the «Gross-Rosen» camp site, and to the Church of Peace, workshops in art, and more.
At the beginning of October, 15 students from Odessa Lyceum No. 90 also visited a school in Bremen (Germany) as part of international cooperation.
Over the course of eight days, the children lived with German families, participated in joint projects, creative activities, and excursions in the cities of Bremen, Hamburg (Germany), and Groningen (Netherlands), among others.
During their trips abroad, the young residents of Odessa had the opportunity to interact with peers from Poland and Germany, showcasing a high level of proficiency in foreign languages while deepening their knowledge of the German and Polish languages, as well as the history, culture, and traditions of these countries.
