Odesa University Ranks Among Ukraine's Top 10
Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov has made its way into the top 10 of the best higher education institutions in Ukraine, according to the 2024 consolidated ranking.
This news comes from the educational information resource «Osvita.ua».
Leading the higher education sector is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which has topped the list of the country’s best universities for eight consecutive years.
Last year, Mechnikov National University held the 8th position in the general ranking.
The consolidated ranking for 2024 includes results from 235 higher education institutions.
To compile the overall ranking, data from the most reputable national rankings such as «Top-200 Ukraine», «Scopus», and «NMT grade for contract» are used, each utilizing different evaluation criteria.
Previously, Odesa State Environmental University (ODEKU) ranked 15th among all Ukrainian universities based on effectiveness.
It’s worth noting that at the beginning of 2024, it was announced that as part of the university reorganization, the Ministry of Education of Ukraine plans to merge Odesa Environmental University and the Physico-Chemical Institute for Environmental Protection into Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
