The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, held an online meeting with the Mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban. Both leaders congratulated each other and the residents of their cities on the 30th anniversary of their partnership and discussed current issues and avenues for collaboration.

The previous meeting of the mayors took place at the Summit of European Cities in Strasbourg, where they, along with their colleagues, examined the significance of local governance in societal development and infrastructure initiatives.

Mr. Ceban emphasized that Moldova is currently implementing several projects with Romania and considers the development of trilateral cooperation promising.

Gennady Trukhanov and Ion Ceban agreed to establish a trilateral working group to develop joint projects in infrastructure, economy, and social support, aimed at fostering sustainable city development and enhancing interaction between Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.

This initiative is expected to attract additional resources, facilitate experience exchange, and support Ukrainians in challenging wartime conditions.
