A strategic session was held in Odessa focusing on the development of southern regions of Ukraine.
The event was chaired by Oleksii Riabikin, Deputy Minister for Community and Territory Development.
Anna Pozdnyakova, Deputy Mayor of Odessa, participated in the session.
«Today's discussion aims at planning a future that considers people’s needs and territorial potential. It is also crucial to integrate regional plans into the national development strategy, creating synergy for the country's recovery», noted Oleksii Riabikin.
During the session, participants addressed key issues facing the regions and identified priorities for their resolution.
For the Odessa region, emphasis was placed on developing transport and logistics infrastructure, the agricultural sector, ensuring energy resilience, and modernizing the port industry.
Significant attention is also given to modernizing social infrastructure, education, supporting internally displaced persons, accessibility, and social cohesion.
«Odessa remains a bastion of resilience and development even in the toughest times. We focus our efforts on modernizing infrastructure, supporting communities, and enhancing energy security. Strategic planning is not just about the future; it’s about our ability to adapt to current challenges and build a strong foundation for recovery and prosperity in our region», emphasized Anna Pozdnyakova.
