During the session, initiated by the Finance Department of the Odessa City Council, participants discussed ways to increase Odessa's budget revenues and ensure effective execution of the financial plan for the current year.
The main goal of the meeting was to identify paths for enhancing collaboration among all stakeholders, which should influence the budget's revenue part in 2024 and improve the city budget for 2025.
The meeting featured active dialogue among local authorities, tax service representatives, and executive agencies. Participants outlined a number of challenges they face amid the war that complicate coordinated efforts.
Details concerning proposals to resolve issues related to budget revenue generation were discussed, particularly the need to update the database of taxpayers for land and real estate.
Executing the Odessa City Territorial Community budget is crucial for ensuring the city's functionality, providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and social assistance to defenders and their families.
The outcomes of the meeting will serve as a basis for developing a joint action plan aimed at expanding the tax base and utilizing all available reserves to enhance the city's budget revenues.
