Financial Support for Farmers in 2025: New Funding Insights
In 2025, farmers will be allocated 10.9 billion UAH, with 43% of this amount funded by international financial institutions.
This was announced by Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada's finance committee, emphasizing the importance of international support for farmers, as reported by INTERFAX-Ukraine.
"In 2024, budgetary support for agricultural producers reached 7.075 billion UAH, facilitated by programs from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Economy," she noted.
According to her, 39% of this funding (2.78 billion UAH) came from international financial organizations. These funds were allocated as subsidies per hectare (70%), for the maintenance of cattle (22%), and for goats and sheep (8%).
Additionally, 1.36 billion UAH from the state budget was directed towards grants for developing processing enterprises (65%), horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture (23%), as well as greenhouse farming (12%).
Yuzhanina also indicated plans to increase budgetary support for farmers to 10.9 billion UAH in 2025, with 43% potentially covered by international financial organizations.
She reminded that in 2024, the budget for compensating humanitarian demining of agricultural lands amounted to only 0.4 billion UAH, while over 2.5 billion UAH was allocated for the "Winter eSupport" payments.
