Readiness for the Heating Season in Odesa
The Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Hanna Pozdnyakova, and the director of the municipal enterprise «City Heating of Odesa», Valeriy Ivanov, held a press conference regarding the readiness of the enterprise for the new heating season and its commencement.
«As of today, all heating plants under the enterprise's management are prepared for operation. We have completed the pressure testing of all boiler heating surfaces, repaired identified damages across all plants, and conducted hydraulic pressure testing of all thermal networks,» - reported Valeriy Ivanov.
«I want to emphasize that the tariff for residential consumers remains at the level established on February 24, 2022, which is 1813 UAH/Gcal. Regarding the specific start date for the operation of the heating plants, we do not have a fixed date. According to current legislation, the heating period begins after the appropriate order from the Odesa Mayor if the average daily outdoor temperature is +8 degrees Celsius or below for three consecutive days. At these temperature levels, the enterprise will begin supplying heat first to social facilities and then to residential consumers. Based on Hydrometcenter data, we can state that the heating season in Odesa is expected to start in November,» - noted Hanna Pozdnyakova.
