Recovery Efforts Post-Attack in Odesa

The Mayor of Odesa held an on-site meeting to assess the recovery work in a building affected by the Russian attack on March 2.

«Everyone who applied for the recovery program has received compensation for repairs or housing certificates. The work is ongoing, though slower than desired due to lengthy construction procedures. I am grateful to our partners - the civic and charitable organizations,» said Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The mayor thanked the charity fund "Reach for the Sky", the charity fund "Morning of Revival", the NGO "April 10th", and the UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of construction materials.

The works are being carried out by the management company "Clever" with the support and coordination of Odesa's mayoral advisor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovych.

Currently, tons of debris have been removed from the apartments. The roof over the last entrance and the entrance itself from the first to the ninth floor has been repaired.

Additionally, landscaping has been completed near the impact site, where people continue to bring flowers. On March 2, 2024, as a result of the Russian attack, 12 people were killed, including five children.
